Firstly, make sure that your hair is healthy. If your hair is damaged, it may impact how the hair curls and at times your hair may not behave the way you want it to. If you have spilt ends cutting off the damaged hair will make braids and twist outs a lot easier. Remember that damaged hair is more fragile, prone to breaking, and not as elastic. With split ends, in particular, the split can travel up the hair length and to the roots if nothing is done to correct it.
Your hair will naturally default to its natural pattern if you keep it healthy and avoid too much heat. If you do want to use heat, be sure to use a heat protectant. Keep your hair moisturized adequately for your hair type. Before you do any of these curl defining methods, take the time to detangle your hair (you can also detangle as you go. The smoother your hair is, the more defined and uniform your curls will be.
Braid outs and twist outs
If you want defined curls twist outs and braid outs are both viable options to having beautiful, uniform and defined curls. Braids and twists are both styles within themselves, so you can wear them for a while before taking them out. Additionally, you can experiment around with different styles of braids to see which ones you prefer. Your hair will set and respond to the type of braid you use. Just be sure not to braid your hair too tightly.
Shingling
Shingling is a method of isolating the curls your hair naturally has. This method is perfect for people who already have pretty defined curls, but they may clump together. After a good washing and conditioning use alcohol-free cream or hair lotion and run your fingers through the length of your hair. After you’ve finger combed through all your hair, don’t touch it too much as it may start to frizz.
Finger Coils
Finger coils are another great way to get defined curls without heat. They do take a while to install (particularly if you have long hair), but the results are worth it. To install a finger coil, apply your alcohol- free cream or hair lotion to the section of your hair you want the coil to be (smooth the product down the length of your hair). Coil the part of hair around your finger starting from the root and working your way down till you’ve reached the end of your hair, letting it air dry.

Hello
My name is Renell
I am suffering from alpeshia and my edges are bald. What can I get to grow my hair back?
Hello Renell,
We would be more than happy to help, but first we would need you to answer some questions regarding your hair issues.
Please email [email protected] for further communication.
Thank You.
I have super curly hair, very dry hair, I wear twist outs. I find most products weigh my hair down. What would you recommend?
Hello Yasmeen,
When dealing with dry hair, yet also understanding your hair is curly-naturally you must make a decision to chose being hydrated with a slight weigh down vs being dehydrated with no weigh down. Our serum and oil may weigh your hair down for the greater good of nourishing, hydrated, moisturizing, and protecting your scalp and hair.
We advise at this time to embrace your natural hair and get accustomed to a slight weight down ( in the event it occurs) for the better health of your hair and scalp.
Look for ways to style your hair confidently by all means.
Best Regards.
